For the opening ceremony of our new location in Greifswald on 21.10.2022, we had the honor to welcome top-class guests from business, science and politics in the beautiful Stuck-Villa.

After the Lord Mayor of the Hanseatic and University City, Dr. Stefan Fassbinder, and CEO of birkle IT AG, Jörn Halbauer, officially inaugurated the location, Dr. Fassbinder referred in his welcoming speech to Greifswald’s good performance in digitization rankings, the construction of the Center for Life Science and Plasma Technology, and the planned Digital Innovation Center at Wall. “The new settlement of birkle IT AG is a good sign for the city,” Fassbinder said.

Minister of Digitization Christian Pegel emphasized that Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is finding its competitive niche in the healthcare industry and that Greifswald is an important location for this. He invited birkle IT AG to participate in the state’s digitization projects.

In addition to the main headquarters in Munich and the branches in Berlin, Tallinn, Vilnius, Riga and Zurich, Greifswald is seen as a continuation of birkle IT AG’s locations in the Baltic region.

Through the innovation hubs in the Baltic States, German quality is combined with the Baltic innovative spirit. The location in Greifswald extends this strategy and becomes the technology center of birkle IT AG. Greifswald as a new location is particularly suitable for IT specialists, as the city is both a university and traditional hanseatic city with a high potential for technology development. In addition, the attractive city and the surrounding rural area offer excellent opportunities for long-term private settlement.
