We will award a free workshop to one of the participating companies, which will be conducted online and take approximately one day. Contents of the workshop are
- Creation of a detailed user-centered product vision
- Elaboration and benchmarking of the problem
- Consolidation of the idea into a vision document with use cases, a proposed implementation approach and a preliminary estimate

Ideation Workshop with Design Thinking approach
Design Thinking is a user-centered innovation process for generating new ideas and moving forward from an idea to a concrete vision. The core components are

Workshop as 1st step to a solution
1. Ideation Workshop – product vision and roadmap

- Creating a detailed user-centered vision of the product/solution
- Applying a design thinking approach to elaborate the problem that the solution should solve and to benchmark this problem
- Consolidating the idea into a vision document with high-level use cases (epics), a proposed implementation approach and a preliminary estimate
2. Requirements: product backlog
▼
- Refinement and subdivision of the higher-level use cases into more developer-friendly sizes that are useful for development
- Creation of an initial backlog and selection for MVP
- Determination of implementation team and effort based on detailed use cases
- Results in a technical design document and a refined effort estimate
3. UI/UX design
▼
- Creation of wireframes to describe the screens and the interactions with the user
- Creating a design document that defines the design language (e.g. colors, fonts, layout of controls, etc.) and core screens
- The output is a design document with detailed main screens and examples of sub-controls
4. MVP

- Start of development to implement an MVP solution (Minimal Viable Product), build a basic pipeline, unit tests, functional tests, cloud infrastructure and solution using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe Essential) approach
- The selection of features is based on the selection of the customer’s product owner and is guided by estimates of use cases and the solution architect.

5. Testing and refinement

Terms and conditions
1. General
These are the general conditions of participation (hereinafter “Conditions of Participation”) for the promotion (hereinafter “the promotion”) organized by birkle IT AG (hereinafter “the organizer”). By participating in the Promotion, participants expressly accept these Terms and Conditions of Participation.
2. Eligibility to participate
All natural persons who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate. Employees and relatives of the organizer as well as their respective subsidiaries and affiliated companies are excluded from participation.
3. Promotion period
The promotion begins on 19.11.2024 and ends on 13.12.2024.
4. Participation
Participation takes place by filling out the online form and then confirming the email address.
5. Selection criteria
The winner will be selected by birkle IT AG employees. The criteria for selection are the business challenges with the greatest potential for improvement or development with the help of innovative IT.
6. Notification of the winner
The winner will be notified by telephone (if a number has been provided) or email. The deadline for accepting the prize is 31.03.2025.
7. Prizes
One Ideation Workshop will be awarded, which will be held on one day via video call. A cash payment of the prize is excluded.
8. Data protection
The organizer collects and processes participants’ personal data exclusively for the purpose of running the competition and sending out regular newsletters as well as current offers and other marketing materials from the birkle IT AG. The data will not be passed on to third parties.
9 Liability
The organizer is not liable for damages that may arise due to errors, delays or interruptions in transmission, malfunctions of the technical equipment and service, incorrect content, loss or deletion of data, viruses or in any other way during participation in the promotion, unless such damages are due to gross negligence or intent on the part of the organizer.
10 Miscellaneous
Legal recourse is excluded. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.

12. Severability clause
Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be invalid or unenforceable or become invalid or unenforceable after the start of participation, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. The invalid or unenforceable provisions shall be replaced by suitable provisions that come closest to the purpose of the invalid or unenforceable provisions.
