The Solingen Municipal Hospital has commissioned birkle IT to implement the digital central archive for patient files.

Up to now, there was a purely analog file archiving with the known challenges such as lack of space and time as well as susceptibility to errors.

We team up with d.velop to achieve a common goal

The project will be carried out with our partner products of d.velop AG and realized with the experienced expert teams of birkle IT. The goal is to establish and implement digital processes within the framework of patient record management.

Frank Kriege, Head of Department Information and Medical Technology at the Solingen Municipal Hospital, comments: “birkle IT takes care of our requests quickly and professionally and it is fun to work with the software solution. We were able to accelerate our processes and initiate the digitalization of patient files. We are looking forward to further cooperation with birkle IT.”

With 658 beds and more than 1,900 employees in the areas of medical services, nursing, administration and service, Solingen Hospital provides care for more than 60,000 patients annually. The range of services extends from 24-hour emergency care in the central emergency room (ZNA) to highly specialized and modern interventions in the 16 specialist departments.
